C-270. Peace, love, democracy and related projects
The Expansion-Nature of Things conjecture on the totality of materiality gives us another, more productive way to work toward the needed functionality now inadequately represented by concepts like “peace” and “love.” These B-speak concepts embrace many instances, but these instances have not been instances enough … not enough to meet our needed functionality. Nor have these and other concepts been Mind technology enough to Help us Forward. Not instances enough, even in aggregate, to serve as building material IN and FOR our requisite Theory FOR.
Toward more Do’s than Don’ts.* Fewer behaviors. More behavior. The Conjecture perspective sees the what is called for (WICF) and what there is to be talked about (WTITBTA), not just the what is talked about (WITA) conceptually in B-speak. So as to see the CEM – i.e., contingent emergent materiality – needed functionality requires. In technological terms, the Swing in consequence of Slice and Splice ... in accord with the Expansion’s Differentiation, Extension and CEM principles.** In scientific terms, the Make as well as the Take (KMmt) of steps: behavioral architecture.
Slice gives us architectural units (step mettles, R-words) with which to compose (i.e., Splice) molecular steps … molecular steps which, if and when they meet the CEM criteria,*** give us Swing. Steps made and taken in the S-universe, made stronger by CEM development. Development guided by theory FOR. Theory FOR an operating system for the human condition required by the Nature of Things’ general persisting conditions of partial order, consequentiality and discontinuity (of both bodies and steps).
Body CEM Step (B CEM S) is History’s “Entity CEM Behavior” (E CEM B) gift to us and other animate species. (“B CEM S” =/= “E CEM B.” This is a DIF that makes a DIF that we missed earlier when making the distinction between “History” as fact and “history“ as account and/or instance.# “B CEM S” is History’s emergent thread in history’s “E CEM B” … in Accord with The Expansion’s principles of DIFion, extension and CEM.)
Evolution has only tinkered with B CEM S, with the development we must still produce in the Way of needed functionality. As, most saliently, in the case of selves: Individual, Community and Union. In an operating system responsive to the R-zone. Selves more fully realized: freedom TO, not just FROM and OF. As antidotes to our misbegotten “anthropogenetic” behaviors.
“Citizen” as concept and theoretical construct epitomizes these Selves as behavioral problems … in need of behavioral architecture and of Step as theoretical construct with which to meet WICF. To meet the As One functionality of Union, we must first construct an As One of Community,## each built of molecular steps … with the aid of theory FOR, not loosely based on concepts ABOUT. Lest the “Land of the Free” be a mockery of polity’s achievement of needed functionality.
